Serge’s ideas and inspiration come from love to nature, observing wild marine and animal life. He creates art pieces from different media: NZ native wood, copper, bronze, semiprecious gems, pounamu, pearls, patina and gold leaf. Serge has developed a distinctive artistic style and technique that is entirely his own.
He creates sculptural works from unexpected combinations of materials, bringing together native New Zealand woods with bronze brazed onto hand-formed copper shapes using an oxy-acetylene torch and jewellers techniques. Each piece is further enhanced with natural semiprecious stones, pounamu, pearls, patina, and gold leaf. As a result, every artwork is truly unique — a one-of-a-kind creation with no replicas. Each piece is entirely handmade through a meticulous and time-intensive process, from initial concept to final completion. All works are carefully patinated, polished, and treated with protective coatings to preserve their finish and prevent tarnishing. Serge graduated from an Art College and the Institute of Arts. He now lives and works in Auckland, with his work exhibited in galleries across New Zealand, Australia, Europe, and Russia. He accepts commissions, collaborating closely with clients to transform personal ideas into unique sculptural pieces. Many of his works are held in private collections worldwide. He is also a member of the Auckland East Bays Art Group and has received numerous diplomas, merit awards, and prizes in art competitions.

From fantasy creatures and marine life to deeply personal zodiac pieces, each work is individually designed and crafted from wood, bronze, copper, and natural gemstones. Every piece is unique — no exact copies are ever made. However, clients may commission a work inspired by a previously sold piece; Serge will create a new sculpture in a similar style or concept, reinterpreted to reflect the client’s vision. The result is always a distinctive and meaningful work of art.
